Early Learning Center Director Illumination Early Learning Center

My name is Annemarie Carl and I am the Center Director of Illumination Early Learning Center. I knew at a young age that I was highly interested in the education of children. Upon graduation of high school I attended Bloomsburg University and earned the Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Most recently I worked for Hildebrandt Learning Centers as a preschool teacher, center director and regional manager. Now known as Bright Horizons, which I worked for an additional 2 years in a regional director role. I am proud to say that I have had the opportunity to work with children of all ages for 30+ years.

Through-out the years I have learned that Child Care need to go beyond learning. Before a child can learn they must feel comfortable in a safe and healthy environment. When the child feels safe and healthy it positively fosters children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. I feel that a positive environment is needed in order for children to fully understand love, encouragement, and respect. Although it is important to teach them curriculum; we owe it to the children to understand them as an individual. I am proud to be a part of the Jewish Community Center and Illumination Early Learning Center and to be able to provide the children and families the quality care that they deserve.
