Michele Newberry
Development, Community Event and Membership Manager
Michele Newberry serves as the Development, Community Event and Membership Manager at the Friedman Jewish Community Center. With over 15 years of experience leading within the community, having served both in volunteer leadership and community-driven professional roles overseeing non-profit teams and working hand in hand with senior leadership professionals from diverse industries to accomplish common goals. Michele is a proud alumnus of Wagner College, holding a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing.
Michele has served on various Boards and Committees for organizations such as Arts on Fire, Arts on the Square- Downtown Marketplace, American Legion Auxiliary, Luzerne County Historical Society, Northeast Philharmonic and youth sports throughout the area. She was a member of the Board of Directors for the Anthracite Heritage Museum.
