Art Appreciation Series Spring 2025: April 21- May 27
Paul Gauguin, The Midday Nap, 1894. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC
Our Art Appreciation class at the Friedman JCC has been going strong since we began last fall. From the period of Ancient art, we’ve wound our way through history and are finally reaching the Modern Era. This session will start with Impressionism (c.1867) and will move forward into the 20th century, with artists Monet, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Matisse, Kandinsky, Seurat, Picasso, Frank Lloyd Wright, and many more!
Class meets on Monday nights from 6:15 – 7:45 pm. This class is a beautiful way to travel through time, with slideshows and stories featuring our most inspiring human creations. Open to all – no prior art experience necessary! Sign up for the 6-week session, or pop in for a single class on the dates that work for you.
