The Friedman JCC is proud to introduce the JCC 5K Series, a new community race initiative designed to bring people together through fitness, wellness, and shared experiences throughout the year.
The series features three races held across the 2026 season, each offering a unique atmosphere while supporting community programming and engagement at the JCC.

Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot- Thursday, November 26 at 9:00 AM
The series welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and experience levels, from competitive racers to families and first-time participants. Whether joining for one event or completing all three races, participants will be part of a growing community tradition centered around movement, connection, and giving back.
The kickoff event, the Summer 5K on June 5, will also feature a NEPA Gives After Party following the race with music, community activities, and opportunities to support nonprofit organizations across Northeastern Pennsylvania during the region’s 24-hour day of giving. Proceeds from the event will help support JCC Summer Camp programming and create meaningful opportunities and experiences for local children and families.
LOCATION:
- Start and finish at The Sidney And Pauline Friedman Jewish Community Center (JCC), 613 S J Strauss Lane, Kingston, PA 18704
- Beginning at the JCC, runners will go around the building, out to the sidewalks along 3rd avenue to the Kingston Rec. Continuing through the parking lot, up to the levee, keeping to the right. Continue down the levee into Kirby Park, where they will turn around and head back to Kingston Rec. After the Kingston Rec parking lot, turn left onto the sidewalk, turn left into the JCC parking lot, and straight into finish.

- Early Registration: $30
- After May 29th through Day of Race: $35.50
- Day of race registration will be open until 5:30 pm, via the original registration link and QR Code Quick Registration.
- A $6 Processing Fee will be added during checkout
- Packet Pickup will begin at 4:30pm at The JCC
- Join us afterwards for 5K awards and NEPAGives celebration
- Complete all 3 JCC 5K Race Series (June 5, September 19, November 26, 2026 for invite and exclusive Awards, Swag and Bragging Rights!

This event will be held rain or shine. No refunds will be given. Anyone who signs up and is unable to attend will have their payment looked at as a donation.
