VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY OF SERVICE
O’Donnell Law Firm, Friedman Jewish Community Center, and Luzerne County NAACP in cooperation with the Wilkes-Barre Health Department will be conducting the second annual “Blankets and Broth” program on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 8:30 am to 11:30 a.m. at the Friedman JCC, 613 S J Strauss Lane in Kingston.
Volunteers will be making fringe blankets at the Friedman JCC in Kingston and are asked to also bring in-date canned goods for distribution at the Friedman JCC’s Sara’s Table Food Pantry that serves over 250 local families facing food insecurity.
Blankets will be donated to Ruth’s Place, Keystone Mission, Salvation Army, and Sara’s Table Food Pantry.
