This 6-week introduction to painting in acrylics (a water-based paint) is perfect for beginners as well as people who want to “brush up” on their skills. We will cover the basics of using the paints and brushes, creating values, and mixing colors. Experienced painters are welcome to participate in the class or work on their own projects independently. Continuing classes will be offered in the new year.
Wednesday afternoons: 1:30 – 3:30. October 16, 23, 30, Nov. 6, 13, 20
Price: $225. (JCC members $210)
Supplies: Students will need to purchase supplies for class (approximately $50). Pre-made packets of the necessary supplies will be available at Marquis Art & Frame, 122 S. Main St, Wilkes-Barre. They have generously offered our students a discount. All other basic supplies will be available in class (easels, water containers, paper towels, etc.).
