Join us in Celebrating Barbara Sugarman
It’s hard to imagine our JCC without Barbara Sugarman, and yet, after a lifetime of devoted service to the Jewish Community of Northeast Pennsylvania, she has announced her retirement.
While we couldn’t imagine this day actually coming, we are honored and excited to celebrate Barbara’s incredible legacy and the indelible mark she has left on our community.
Barbara’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. From her early days as a camp counselor to serving as JCY Regional Director and a cherished staff member of the Jewish Community Center, she has shaped and strengthened countless programs and lives. Most recently, as the Friedman JCC’s Director of Adult and Cultural Programs, Barbara has continued to embody the heart and soul of our community, bringing warmth, wisdom, and connection to all she meets.
As she embarks on this new chapter, relocating to South Carolina to be with her son and his family, the Friedman JCC welcomes everyone to celebrate her legacy and join them in saying “Bon Voyage” on July 13th. It will surely be a heartfelt celebration. We’ll share memories and send Barbara off with the love and appreciation she so deeply deserves.
KINDLY RSVP BY TUESDAY, JULY 1ST
