The Mayrutz Run will kick off the Friedman JCC Hanukkah festivities, with runners lighting the way from Wilkes-Barre to Kingston. Following the run, the community will gather for a festive Hanukkah celebration, complete with a menorah lighting ceremony, singing, hot chocolate and treats.
Local community members will have the honor of lighting the menorah, and the evening will be filled with joyous music, including a special performance by the talented Chabad girls from Scranton, who will lead us in Hanukkah songs.
This Community Hanukkah Event is open to everyone, and we encourage participants to come together as a community to mark the celebration of light, hope, and miracles. Whether you’re a runner, a spectator, or simply looking for a way to share the joy of Hanukkah with friends and family, this promises to be a heartwarming occasion.
We look forward to celebrating Hanukkah with the entire community. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to gather, give thanks, and enjoy the magic of the season!
