Dear JCC Members and Prospective Members,
We believe that no child should go to bed hungry, that every senior has the right to live with dignity, and that all individuals should be able to live, anywhere in the world, without fear of persecution.
That is why the Jewish Community Alliance of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s annual fundraising campaign is focused on helping people in need, rescuing people in danger, and keeping our community strong.
We believe in the power of community. We believe that together, we can make the world a safer, stronger, and better place.
I am hoping that you will consider a gift this year. Please join our important efforts and hope you will add your name to our growing list of donors!
Sincerely,
Gary Bernstein

Dear JCC Members and Prospective Members,
March is officially Women’s History Month.
Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society and has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since 1987. Women’s History Month 2023 runs from Wednesday, March 1 – Friday, March 31, 2023. The Friedman JCC was the site for this year’s International Women’s Day luncheon organized by Dress for Success. We had 230 people in attendance with a terrific meal catered by Bank and Vine. While for decades, women working in Jewish communal organizations outnumbered men–they were severely underrepresented at the highest levels. There’s more work to be done – but let’s celebrate the many accomplishments!
Sincerely,
Gary Bernstein

Dear JCC Members and Prospective Members,
On behalf of our event Co-chairs Karen Kalna Blum and Cathy O’Donnell and the entire JCC Tribute Gala Committee, we are proud to announce that Leadership Northeast and Lori Nocito will be the honoree for our 2023 Tribute Gala on Saturday evening, April 15. You are cordially invited to join us at this spectacular event in recognizing Lori and Leadership Northeast for their outstanding and significant work in our community.
The Friedman Jewish Community Center has and continues to have a significant role in helping and providing for our community. For the JCC to continue to do this we need your support. We believe that with your help, we can meet our mission by raising money for our wonderful JCC programs and services and helping serve those families and individuals in our community that are most in need.
Whether you can give $100 or up to $10,000, every dollar raised allows us to support and help serve our community members in need. Sponsorships and a digital ad journal will be broadcast throughout the evening and will be replicated on the JCC website and Facebook pages. Please consider attending and/or providing a sponsorship to support the Friedman JCC.
The Friedman JCC remains committed to serving our families and participants as we continue to navigate through these unprecedented times.
Save the April 15, 2023. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Gary Bernstein
